I am professionally qualified accountant with the following qualifications - AICWA, ACS and ACMA (UK). I have 20 years experience in Finance, Accounts,Treasury,Taxation,Company Secretarial work etc in India in manufacturing sector. I am planning to work in Singapore. As I have ACMA qualification, I am eligible to become member of Singapore CPA. Do you advise that with Singapore CPA, I can get better jobs?

I have recently attained my MSc in banking and finance from Leeds University , UK and currently Im pursuing my CFA from CFA institute . Right now , I am desperately looking for a job in banking and financial sector. Can you please suggest how I should go ahead with applying jobs in singapore and what all things I should consider before coming here for an interview as right now Im in India. Please help.

14th Mar 2011moving from back to front office

Hi,I would like to get adv that i am in banking industry but was thk to change environment to other field. The reason being is banking back end always require to work very late whihc i cant commit mys elf to work too late. If other field, i do now know they can poay me back same as my current job because i may don;t have the experience in that field.I would like to work front line job such as customer service job,but this position may have lower salary.
Tne problem now is even i don;t mind to have pay cut just to get the job can leave on time rather thatn work OT, i don't know how is the employer will think for that,as they may think i can work long. The issue here is my was sent out alot of CV to employer seems no any get back to me. Maybe i over qualify?
How shd i sound it in my cover letter mentioned that i don;t mind to get pay cut?
Pls send me some adv on this.

My Key responsibilities:

 Provide direction and maintenance of corporate financial systems, including the main general ledger and multiple sub-ledgers

 Directly responsible for compliance and internal control of finance and operation.

 Directly responsible for the financial control, costing, budgets and treasury of two other group companies. Submission of statutory and management accounts to management, Bank and authority.

 Jointly manage support and finance team with 15 direct reports and overall responsibility for financial strategy as well as managing all back office activities.

 Manage relationships with internal and external parties such as other departments, auditors, consultants, and banks.

Is there any chance of getting job in Singapore at this age 55 ?

I am here in singapore & searching for job in banking industry since one & half month. I have four years of working experience & BBA qualification. But till date not much good responces. Now would you like to suggest me that how can I get responces from employer or I need toupdate my skills.

I have at least 6 years of investment banking operations experience with reputable foreign banks prior to becoming a financial planner for 3 years. I have since resigned as a financial planner and have been looking for a banking contract job for the last 9 months while taking a CFA exam in Dec 09. It has been difficult. Kindly advise:
